Brewery Installs Custom Canning Production Line Equipment

Recent news reports reveal that America's first certified organic brewery, Eel River Brewing in Scotia, CA, has purchased custom canning production line equipment in an effort to expand its production and packaging of canned beer.  Eel River purchased the equipment from Codi Manufacturing in Golden, CO and expects to begin distributing canned beers, including Emerald Triangle Pale Ale and Organic California Blonde Ale, beginning in April.

 
Established in 1995, the company has enjoyed consistent annual growth with both their organic and non-organic product lines and is excited about bringing this new standard in craft beer packaging to consumers.  Ted Vivatson, President and Founder of Eel River Brewing said that he can envision cans as the 'recreational vehicle' that helps the company fully embrace Northern California's lifestyle.  Vivatson says that the company's craft beer is uniquely Humboldt, and that in combining that with the company's love of the outdoors and dedication to sustainability, it's all coming together.  
 
Considering aluminum cans are easily recycled and reused and the portability factor, Eel River's new canned beer is expected to complement the North Coast lifestyle.  The new canned beer will be available for distribution in six-pack and 12-pack carriers according to reports.
