Aluminum Can Packaging - Taking Wine Along For The Ride

Taking your favorite wine along to the golf course, beach, or pool hasn't been possible in many cases, as most venues don't allow glass bottles. Now, flipflop wines has packaged four of their most popular varieties in aluminum cans, making for enhanced portability. Whether you prefer Chardonnay, California Pinot Grigio, or the new lightly carbonated Fizzy Sangria or Fizzy Crisp White, wine drinkers can enjoy their favorites almost anywhere. According to winemaker James Foster, the company as well as Millennials think wine should be a casual, more fun experience. Aluminum cans chill quickly, are easier to open, and stay cold longer, making canned wine a great choice for taking along to the beach or nearly anywhere bottles can't go. What about the "can" taste? No worries, says Foster. The slim can, designed by Ball, is lined with a flavor guard that ensures the wine inside will taste just as it did in bottled form. Drinking wine from cans offers other advantages as well, as aluminum cans contain, on average, 70% recycled content. The cans are visually appealing as well, with illustrations of flowers and fruits in vibrant colors on the bottom half, and a clean, crisp white background at the top - and don't forget the flip flops, the central focal point of the cans! Foster says retailers are excited to add canned wine to the malt liquors and beer options offered to their customers. First launched earlier this year, the company has experienced success thus far and is looking forward to serving customers who want to take wine along on casual outings. How good is flipflop wine? According to Foster, it's "Flippin' good!"
