Markem-Imaje Presents Flex Technology For Beverage Sector

Markem-Imaje was excited to be an exhibitor at the recent IPACK-IMA exhibition held in Milan, Italy from May 29 through June 1.  Highlighted at the show was our 2200 Flex SE print and apply labeler, our GS1-128 compliant technology launched last year that has greatly enhanced efficacy and productivity for several leading companies in the soft drink industry.

Labeling packaging in the beverage sector can be a challenge considering the variety of carton shapes and need for application of more than one label on the same pack, however the 2200 Flex SE offers flexibility making it possible to position labels on the side of the package, front, or both.  Capable of labeling more than 90 products in 60 seconds, this flex technology allows labeling to be completed on almost any surface while keeping production line changes to a minimum.  Beverage manufacturers also enjoy the fact it isn't necessary to install additional equipment or devices for spacing or rotating products during the labeling process.

The 2200 Flex SE is highly efficient and requires minimal operator intervention, taking less than 40 seconds to change ribbons or labels.  Considering operators can enjoy maximum production speeds of 90 products per minute even with as little as 250 mm between packs, this print and apply technology is one of the most advanced available today for the beverage sector, and communicates with other machines on the line using our CoLOS software.

From corrugate to shrink wrapped substrates, the 2200 Flex SE increases production uptime while enhancing traceability at every point in the supply chain and requiring little or no operator intervention.  We invite those in the beverage sector to learn more about this innovative new flexible print and apply technology today.
