Coding And Marking - Plastic-Free Packaging From UK Evolution Foods

A new snacking range was recently introduced by Evolution Foods, the Natural Selection packaging made from paper rather than plastic.  According to reports, Nisa retailers will have access to 25 products such as dried fruit, nuts and seeds.  Dried Cranberries, Chopped Dates, and Smokin' Joe's Rancher Mix are a few of the snack products available under the Natural Selection brand.

The company supplies a range of major UK retailers including Wilko stores.  Managing director James Knott said Evolution Foods desired to move away from plastic packaging and present a solution that is better for the environment.  The new paper packs are made from sustainable sources and because they are made without any plastic, can be recycled along with other paper waste.  Products stay fresh as the paper packaging has a heat-sealed, water-based coating.

Evolution Foods said the unconventional new packaging is a first for the dried fruit, nuts and seeds market in the country, and that it could possibly save more than 1,350 tons of plastic waste in the sector.

Knott said in reports that the new paper packaging never compromises the quality of the products inside, and is a major breakthrough for the company.  He said it is an exciting moment for the industry, although there is always more to be done.
