Today, consumers are interested in foods that are organic and healthy, more than ever before.  Packaging is vital to helping shoppers find the products they want, and some manufacturers don't make it easy to determine if a product is actually healthier than other options.  Recently a BC, Canada company in business for decades took their products in a new direction by undergoing a package redesign.  Nature's Path, a maker of breakfast and snack foods, is now easy for consumers to find thanks to its new bold colors and a design that jumps off the shelf to capture consumers' interest.

 
Executive VP at Nature's Path, Arjan Stephens, said the company wants its packaging to reflect how their brand stands apart from other companies who manufacture standard breakfast and cereal products.  Stephens said that for more than 32 years, the family-owned independent company has been providing breakfast and snack options that are organic, and they want consumers to notice their favorite products on the shelves immediately.   
 
With brightly colored packaging depicting foods that appear to be bursting with flavor and an "Always organic" description that's impossible to miss, consumers will find it much easier to locate their favorite Nature's Path products on the shelves among a sea of competitors' products.
  
The company decided to redesign packaging for all of its products, not only to make them stand out to consumers, but also to emphasize the family's focus on and commitment to foods that are organic for more than three decades.  According to Stephens, all of the Nature's Path breakfast and snack products will feature the new packaging redesign by spring of this year.  New York-based Wallace Church & Co., a brand and design agency, is credited for the new look and design.
 
In addition to the bold, brightly colored packaging depicting fresh, wholesome foods, the company has included the story of the origin of the family-owned company and its mission to champion products that are healthier, not only for consumers, but the earth as well, on backs of packaging.  Vital information pertaining to nutrition consumers are most interested in is also included on the front of packaging.
 
Some of the products offered by Nature's Path include hot and cold cereals, breakfast biscuits, granola, waffles, breads, cookies, and others for special diets that may be low sodium, gluten free, vegan, or have whole grain or reduced sugar.
